In China, the Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional holiday to commemorate the legend of Qu Yuan. The key elements of the day are rice dumplings wrapped in leaf and of course the dragon boat race is essential to the project.
Dragon Boat Festival, is the best time to remember our home. Wormwood is hung up in the morning and everyone has steamed sugar packet, including the dumplings, but also garlic to repel pests.
The tradition of the dragon boat comes from local villagers attempting to rescue Qu Yuan from drowning in the Milo River in 278BC.
