Why do Western firms buy Chinese?

This article from the BBC offers an interesting insight into current production in China and its place in the world. Through our QC and factory audit process QPI has found more factories that display high standards. There are also many that are keen to improve, and many more that will simply never meet even the lowest benchmark.

Sales of the electronic components it manufactures for firms around the world were up 70% year-on-year in the first half of 2009.

The premises are small, but this is no sweatshop. The machinery on the shop floor is second hand, but advanced. It does the job.
